Final piece of the Mississippi River bridge is the stairway up to the control house which I did this afternoon. I've been putting together an article about the contruction of the bridge. Which magazine should I submit it to; Model Railroader, N Scale Railroading or N Scale? I'm leaning toward N scale Model Railroading, have not decided for sure.
I'd like to see it in Model Railroader... but that's only because I model in HO and don't subscribe to the other 2.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I think it's good to promote N scale to a wider audience. It's the type of article they would probably accept, and I don't recall a similar project recently.
I've been watching you build this layout for the past couple years, slowly working on my own. Your work is phenomenal. Kind of wish I could do N-Scale sometimes, but then I remember I have small children :)
ReplyDeleteN scale Model Railroading as I'm not renewing my MOdel Railroader sub (after 12 years of subscribing!) Too much repetition of 'how to weather a car' and 'cab control wiring'...! MRH free online magazine is the one for me now...but might subscribe to a N scale mag now.

ReplyDeleteDaryl, I've followed your work as well & posted my comments on therailwire. I LOVE IT! As for which magazine should run your article, well.. I'm thinking outside the box, try and submit it to all three magazines. Let them decide who will run the article! Either way, I will be watching for it so, keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteLooks like I will be going with N Scale Model Railroading for the bridge. Then maybe Model Railroad Planning 2013 for the entire layout.
